McCormick hospital was founded by American Presbyterian missionaries in 1888 as a small 8-bed hospital known as American Mission Hospital.

McCormick Hospital serves more than 400,000 outpatients and 20,000 inpatients per years. Currently, McCormick Hospital has received ISO 9001:2000 certification and ISO 15189 for laboratory department.
