Acupuncture is a Chinese medical which has existed for more than 3000 years and is still widely accepted in China and neighbourly countries in Asia such as Singapore. Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Thailand. Etc. In the last 20 - 30 years has also spreaded to Europe and America.
This kind of treatment based on the Chinese medical theory that underneath the skin, there is a pathway or channel for the Qi(vital energy) and blood to flow smoothly and continuously all the time in a certain direction. (Different from Circulation and Nervous System of western medicine). These channals also connect with the internal organs, then the Qi and blood can nourish the organs and tissues to make them function normally. If this circulation of Qi and blood dose not flow normally either too weak or too strong or there is some stagnation from external or internal factors, there will be diseases, the name of which will depend on the part of the body which is affected.
Chinese doctors discovered that if certain points on these channels are stimulated, it is possible to make the Qi and blood run smoothly again and eventually the disease will disappear.
Many kinds of stimulant can be given on the points such as needles. finger pressure, injection of medicien into the point, herbal heat on the point, Laser or Infrared light shot at the point or Cupping with glass bottle, etc. We also can combine with other types of treatment susas western medicine, herbal, Physiotherapy, exercise and diets.
